In 1935 Mr & Mrs Rolland Schmidt carefully reproduced an award winning Chicago Worlds Fair Home from the Belgian Village Exhibit. They added the cobblestone wall along Circle Drive which are pavers from the streets of Chicago to add further provenance to this homes stature.In 2017 the old world craftsmanship was used again to modernized the home with the help of an Architect and Interior Designers from Chicago. The home was rebuilt from its shell. Their attention to detail while retaining the original character is evident as you approach the original front door. Upon entering you will be struck by the limestone fireplace soaring up past the second floor loft. The new finishes through out the house take a nod to the 30's but with the modern conveniences of 8 Sonos zones, radiant floor heat and Mini-split heating and cooling in each of the rooms to customize each parties desires.
